The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 was released on July 9, 2025 at the company’s Galaxy Unpacked event. It became available for preorder that day, with a shipment date of July 25th. It's available via the major carriers (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile), as well as a number of prepaid carriers.

The Galaxy Z Fold6, while great, mostly featured run-of-the-mill camera, display, battery life, and processing upgrades over its predecessor. Not so with the flagship Galaxy Z Fold7, which offers some major hardware changes, including a far thinner design that’s also lighter and more water resistant than any of Samsung’s previous foldables. Also notable: the Z Fold7 has done away with S Pen support.
