Looking for a data plan to power your various devices? That's where hotspot plans come in. These types of offerings deliver a set amount of high-speed WiFi data that you can share with your laptop, TV, tablet, or dedicated hotspot unit to connect it to the internet.
T-Mobile offers a variety of data-only plans for this purpose, ranging from 2GB/month up to 50GB/month. Additionally, the carrier maintains a stable of unlimited cell phone plans that feature dedicated hotspot data. The latter is our preferred option, since it represents a better value.
We've culled down all of the hotspot plan options from T-Mobile for you in this article. Read on to learn about the best T-Mobile hotspot plans in 2026.
Why You Should Trust Us
I have over 10 years of experience writing about and reviewing mobile plans and phones. I’ve tried every carrier under the sun—and have some strong opinions about which ones are worth signing up for, and which you should steer clear of.
For this article, I focused on the following factors as it relates to service with T-Mobile:
- Overall value
- Plan features
- Cell phone coverage
- Quality of customer service
The following piece offers an honest look at how well T-Mobile fares in each of these areas.
T-Mobile offers a handful plans that are tailor made for folks who just need mobile hotspot data without a cell phone plan attached to it. These two are our favorites. Note: these plans have a $25 set-up charge.
If you need hotspot data—and a lot of it—you'll want to check out T-Mobile's 50GB data-only plan ($50/month). It offers more than enough data to keep your various devices connected when you're on the go, whether you're streaming, gaming, Zooming, or just browsing. The data is fully high-speed, allowing you to take advantage of T-Mobile's fast and reliable nationwide 5G network.
T-Mobile's 30GB plan offers a bit less data than the aforementioned 5OGB plan, but also costs a bit less ($40/month). While it's not exactly built for the data-hungry power user, it will suffice for most people in their WiFi usage.
Like all of the major carriers (a group that includes Verizon and AT&T as well), T-Mobile offers an assortment of unlimited plans that feature varying amounts of dedicated hotspot data. These are two of our favorites.

If you’ve never used a hotspot before, you might be wondering how to go about enabling it on your mobile phone. Here’s a brief explanation of how to turn on your T-Mobile hotspot on an iPhone and an Android phone.
To enable a mobile hotspot on an iPhone, follow these steps:
Whether you have a Samsung Galaxy, a Google Pixel, or any other Android device, following these steps will allow you to enable the mobile hotspot in no time:
While T-Mobile trails Verizon and AT&T in terms of 4G coverage, the carrier has been very aggressive with its 5G network. In fact, T-Mobile now delivers the most 5G network coverage from coast to coast. That makes T-Mobile a good carrier to go with if you’re seeking fast, reliable cell phone service.
Check out the map below to get a sense of what kind of national coverage T-Mobile offers:
One of the key upsides of going with T-Mobile for your family plan is the carrier’s perks program. T-Mobile’s flagship plans all include generous mobile hotspot data allowances, free streaming subscriptions (including Netflix With Ads and Apple TV+), and international privileges like free in-flight Wi-Fi and data access in 210+ countries.
T-Mobile stocks all of the flagship and mid-range phone models from the likes of Samsung, Apple, Google, and Motorola. Fortunately, T-Mobile constantly runs promotions that allow you to get your hands on these devices for far less than they would otherwise be.
T-Mobile phone deals typically require you to trade in an eligible device and sign up for a specified unlimited data plan. Discounts are then applied in the form of bill credits across 24 months. Whether you’re seeking a new iPhone or the latest Android device, you should find what you’re looking for from T-Mobile.
T-Mobile's status as one of the nation's largest carriers means that it also offers a wide selection of hotspot plans to choose from. Our favorite means of getting extra hotspot data for your various devices is signing uo for one of T-Mobile's premium unlimited cell phone plans. Specifically, we like Unlimited Beyond, since it features a massive 250GB dedicated high-speed mobile hotspot data allowance, possibly enough data to take the place of your home internet plan. Similarly, the slightly less expensive Experience More plan features a healthy 60GB mobile hotspot data allowance, making it a great option as well.

No, T-Mobile mobile hotspot plans are not truly unlimited. You get a set amount of high-speed data for each month, after which your speeds will be slowed down substantially.
With 100GB of hotspot data, you can stream about 100 hours of SD video, attend 150+ Zoom meetings, or browse the web for over 1,000 hours.
A 50GB of hotspot can last anywhere from a few days to a full month, depending on usage—video streaming uses it faster than web browsing or email.
T-Mobile’s Experience More is another perk-heavy cell phone plan with plenty of dedicated mobile hotspot data—60GB worth. You also get unlimited premium cellular data, a free Netflix With Ads subscription, Mexico and Canada data privileges, and unlimited texting in 210+ countries.
Experience More costs $46.66/month per line with three lines of service, and just $42.50/month per line for four. All of which is to say, while Experience More features less hotspot data than the aforementioned Experience Beyond, it's also significantly cheaper.
What's more, T-Mobile is arguably the most travel-friendly major carrier around. T-Mobile Experience More allows for full internet and texting on flights “where available,” unlimited talk, text, and 15GB/month of data to use in Canada and Mexico, and unlimited texting and 5GB/month of data in 215 countries and destinations.
The benefits of going with this plan don’t end there. Experience More is backed by T-Mobile’s strong 4G LTE and 5G coverage, not to mention 50GB/month of mobile hotspot data, and free Netflix and Apple TV subscriptions. All of this makes T-Mobile’s Experience More a great overall value.
Rest assured you’ll be able to enjoy all of these plan features aboard one of the fastest and most wide-reaching 5G networks in the country.
For a T-Mobile cell phone plan that includes ample hotspot data, look no further than the carrier’s Unlimited Beyond. In addition to many other plan perks, it features a massive 250GB mobile hotspot data allowance—possibly enough to replace your home internet plan.
Unlimited Beyond includes unlimited premium cellular data (no deprioritization, ever), free Netflix Standard With Ads, Apple TV+, and Hulu (With Ads) subscriptions, the ability to upgrade your phone every year, and access to T-Mobile's satellite service.
Normally, this plan costs $100/month for one line; but it comes down to a more reasonable $56.66/month when you sign up for three lines, or $42.50/month when you add four.
