Adding lines to your T-Mobile wireless plan is a great way to save money, bringing down the cost per line significantly. This can allow you to get a bells-and-whistles plan for far less than you’d otherwise pay.
That goes for everything-and-the-kitchen-sink plans like Experience Beyond, and slightly more scaled-back offerings like Experience More.
In this article, we’ll detail our favorite premium, budget, and overall T-Mobile family plans, as well as outline the reasons for going with T-Mobile instead of competitors Verizon and AT&T.

The argument for going with T-Mobile over major carrier competitors AT&T and Verizon comes down to two things: 5G coverage and perks.
While T-Mobile trails Verizon and AT&T in terms of 4G coverage, the carrier has been very aggressive with its 5G network. In fact, T-Mobile now delivers the most 5G network coverage from coast to coast. That makes T-Mobile a good carrier to go with if you’re seeking fast, reliable cell phone service.
Check out the map below to get a sense of what kind of national coverage T-Mobile offers:
One of the key upsides of going with T-Mobile for your family plan is the carrier’s perks program. T-Mobile’s flagship plans all include generous mobile hotspot data allowances, free streaming subscriptions (including Netflix With Ads and Apple TV+), and international privileges like free in-flight Wi-Fi and data access in 210+ countries.
T-Mobile stocks all of the flagship and mid-range phone models from the likes of Samsung, Apple, Google, and Motorola. Fortunately, T-Mobile constantly runs promotions that allow you to get your hands on these devices for far less than they would otherwise be.
T-Mobile phone deals typically require you to trade in an eligible device and sign up for a specified unlimited data plan. Discounts are then applied in the form of bill credits across 24 months. Whether you’re seeking a new iPhone or the latest Android device, you should find what you’re looking for from T-Mobile.
T-Mobile offers a range of family plans that cater to different needs and budgets. Whether you're after a feature-rich plan like Experience Beyond, a more affordable option like Essentials Saver, or a well-rounded balance with Experience More, there's something for everyone. With industry-leading 5G coverage and extras like streaming perks and international benefits, T-Mobile stands out as a top choice for families who want great value without sacrificing quality.
The Essentials Saver plan is T-Mobile’s cheapest offering. It costs just $33.33/month per line when you sign up for three lines, or $26.25 when you sign up for four.
T-Mobile allows up to 12 lines on its premium plans, while the Essentials plan supports up to 6 lines.
Yes, family plans tend to cost less per line than standard single line plans, which allows you to sign up for premium plans for far less than you'd otherwise pay.
T-Mobile’s Essentials Saver may lack the extra perks and premium data of the carrier’s higher priced offerings, but it still gives you access to the carrier’s powerful 5G network.
If you can make do with deprioritized data (i.e., are willing to put up with data slowdowns during times of network congestion), Essentials Saver may be what you’re looking for. It costs just $33.33/month per line when you sign up for three lines, or $26.25 when you sign up for four.
Our choice for the best overall T-Mobile family plan is Experience More. While not quite as all-encompassing in its perks as the more expensive Experience Beyond plan, it should nonetheless tick most boxes for the majority of users.
Its features include unlimited premium data, a generous 60GB mobile hotspot data allowance, and a free Netflix With Ads subscription. Experience More costs $46.66/month per line with three lines of service, and just $42.50/month per line for four.
Our favorite premium T-Mobile family plan is the carrier’s Experience Beyond offering. The plan costs $100/month for one line, but comes down to a more reasonable $56.66/month per line when you sign up for three lines, or $53.75/month per line when you add four.
Experience Beyond packs in just about everything you’d want in a top-tier cell phone plan: unlimited premium data, unlimited mobile hotspot data, streaming subscriptions galore, and more international perks than you can shake a selfie stick at.
