Cheap Samsung Phones Ranked From Least to Greatest

Samsung makes some of the best smartphones on the planet, but many of them are fairly pricey. Fortunately, we’ve collected the ten best cheap Samsung phones and ranked them from least to greatest. Let’s look at these phones one by one; by the end, you might just find out which phone you should pick up next time you’re due for an upgrade!

The 10 Cheapest Samsung Phones Ranked

Not everyone wants the newest Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G. To settle the debate about which cheap Samsung phone is best for you, let’s break down the ten cheapest Samsung cell phones, ranked from least awesome to best.

These are all available from service providers like T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T, and more; plus, they’re compatible with great apps! They all also use Android, which is the standard for Samsung devices.

1. Samsung Galaxy A53

First up is the Samsung Galaxy A53, a top-tier and value-friendly smartphone. It has a large and color-accurate 6.5-inch screen and a triple-camera array, so you can snap quality photos indoors or outdoors without compromising on quality. Add to that phenomenal battery life – the A53 last for over 22 hours when used for standard things – and you’ve got a well-rounded, versatile device suitable for various users.

However, keep in mind that the display is not currently HDR compliant. That’s still an overall minor downside compared to all the excellent aspects of this Samsung device. The Galaxy A53 5G is essentially the same phone with 5G connectivity built into the device.

2. Samsung Galaxy A33

Next up is the Samsung Galaxy A33, an affordable and versatile device with a 5000 mAh battery and a 6.4-inch display. It has a reasonably good 13-megapixel selfie camera, 8 GB of RAM, and your choice between 128 or 256 GB of internal storage. It even comes with a microSD card slot for extra storage if needed.

Of particular note are the good 48-megapixel primary camera plus 5 MP macro sensor and 2 MP depth camera. It's ultimately a good choice for young folks who want an affordable camera phone and don't need the absolute best of the best for professional portfolios.

3. Samsung Galaxy A22 5G

The A22 5G phone is a great choice if you prefer the A32 but want to save a bit of money instead of breaking the bank. While it doesn't have as premium a design, it does have an excellent Dimensity 700 processor and a slightly larger screen than the A32.

It includes your choice of 4 or 8 GB of RAM and 64 to 128 GB of storage. The big 5000 mAh battery means you won’t need to charge this phone frequently, especially if you use it for regular Internet surfing or camera taking rather than dedicated streaming.

4. Samsung Galaxy A13 5G

You can’t forget the Galaxy A13 5G. This affordable phone is quite cheap overall, but it delivers pretty good surfing and browsing experience without taking a bite out of your wallet. It comes with the Dimensity 700 processor, ensuring reasonably responsive surfing and downloading, and 4 GB of RAM.

That said, this phone does limit your internal storage to 64 GB, and you can’t expand it in any way. Thus, this is a good Samsung phone for internet browsing. The screen, as well, isn’t as robust as some of the other options, clocking in at 720 P and 6.5 inches. One last bonus: the phone has three cameras in total, which is surprising for its cost.

5. Samsung Galaxy A03s

The Samsung Galaxy A03s is a good entry-level phone that doesn’t impress when it comes to performance, but it is great for teenagers or parents who want to get their kids their first mobile device.

It boasts a reasonably large screen at 6.5 inches with HD+ resolution. Storage ranges from 32 to 64 GB, and the phone benefits from Android 11 and Samsung’s proprietary One UI, which takes finger motion into account. The resulting experience is smooth and enjoyable from start to finish.

6. Samsung Galaxy M52

The Galaxy M52 is perfect if you want a supercheap phone that allows for browsing and little else. It can serve you well if you want to play a few games thanks to its Snapdragon 778G processor, but it doesn't have very good cameras.

Surprisingly, it has decent RAM, clocking in at six or 8 GB, and a large 5000 mAh battery. With a 120 Hz refresh rate, it’s very enjoyable to use when surfing social media.

7. Samsung Galaxy M53

The Galaxy M53 is an upgrade to the above phone. For a slightly higher price, you can get a much better Dimensity 9000 chipset with 8 GB of RAM, enabling faster performance and more suitability for streaming Netflix or other media platforms.

There's a host of interesting features here for a good price, like a fingerprint scanner, a microSD card slot, and a 5000 mAh battery for longevity.

8. Samsung Galaxy M33

The M33 is hugely popular in international markets, partially thanks to its massive 6000 mAh battery, allowing you to use the phone for longer before recharging it. Even better, it has a full HD+ display, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and a quad-camera setup.

Unfortunately, the display uses an LCD panel, so the video quality isn't as good here as you can find elsewhere. Fortunately, it has 8 GB of RAM, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for added functionality and performance boosts.

9. Samsung Galaxy F23

The Samsung Galaxy is another good budget-friendly Samsung phone choice. It's exclusive to India but very affordable at just $230. Should you purchase this phone, you'll benefit from a 6.6-inch screen with full HD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The Snapdragon 750G processor isn't super impressive, but it does the job.

More mortally, this phone comes with a two-year promise of OS updates in addition to four years of security updates. So this budget-friendly phone could serve you well for some years to come.

10. Samsung Galaxy M23

The Galaxy M23 is more cost-effective and affordable than the M33, featuring the same screen size and battery capacity. However, this phone does come with less RAM than the M33, so it performs a little slower, and lag is a little more common.

How We Ranked Them

We ranked each of these phones by a variety of criteria and features, such as:

  • Overall price (and whether they counted as budget-friendly)
  • RAM and processing abilities
  • Camera setups
  • Ease-of-use
  • Designs

By comparing all these factors, we determined that the above ten phones are the best in terms of Samsung’s cheap mobile devices. Remember, of course, there are many more Samsung phones to consider, some of which aren’t too expensive. These include the Galaxy A52, the Galaxy A32 5G, the Galaxy Note 20, the Samsung Galaxy A12, and the Galaxy S20 FE.

But new devices tend to be pricier than even mid-range phones. So we chose phones that are a few years old or designed for budget-minded shoppers. You can find many of these new or refurbished.

The Bottom Line

Any of these phones can serve you well if you want a reasonably effective Samsung smartphone without breaking the bank. Compare their features carefully, then choose the phone that seems right for your needs and your wallet!
